MANUEL-TURIZO

Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. The singer has been able to make major international inroads into the Latin pop culture. In 2017 the hit song from 2016 Una Lady Como Tu won the Colombian Kids Choice Award Favorite Song. The singer released his first long-player ADN for the Medellin-based Sony-distributed La Industria Inc. It reached the top 8 spot in the Top Latin Albums Chart. Vaina Loca was one of the Top Five hit for Ozuna as well as him the year following. Mala Influencia was his collaboration with Noriel in the year 2020. The following year, Dopamina became his second album. Later in 2021 he performed the duet for TINI's streaming smash single Maldita Foto. The hit single La Bachata from 2000 was published in 2023. Turizo comes from a musical background, both his elder brother and mother are musicians. In his interviews, he said the importance of music as a requirement. He began playing the guitar, saxophone the ukulele and piano when he was a young child. The first choice for his career was to be a vet, but his brother Julian convinced him to study how to sing under a Cuban teacher. It was the result that he realized his talent for singing and changed the course his life.
